Who We Are
We're Bishop Tools, a small company based in Texas. We built the TradeOps Toolkit to help trade business owners run their operations better. If you ever need to reach us about your data or anything else, email us at bishoptools@proton.me.
What We Collect
When you fill out the free download form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your trade/business type (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Your employee count
That's it. We don't collect credit card info on the free download, and we don't use cookies or tracking pixels. Our server keeps basic access logs (your IP address, browser type, pages visited) — that's standard for any website and we don't do anything special with those.
Why We Collect It
Two reasons:
- To deliver the product — we need your email to send you the download link.
- To follow up — we may send you emails about the toolkit, tips for your trade, or updates about our products. Every email will have an unsubscribe link so you can opt out anytime with one click.
We also use the trade type and employee count to understand who's using the toolkit so we can make it better. That's it — no fancy data analysis, no profiling.
How We Store Your Data
Your information is stored on our server. We don't use third-party databases or cloud services for your form data. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure, but no system is 100% bulletproof — we want to be honest about that.
Who We Share It With
Nobody. We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Period.
Emails We Send (CAN-SPAM Compliance)
If we email you, here's what you can expect:
- Every email will clearly say it's from Bishop Tools
- Every email will have a working unsubscribe link
- If you unsubscribe, we'll stop emailing you within 10 business days
- We won't use misleading subject lines or fake "From" addresses
- Our physical address will be included in emails as required by law
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Know what data we have — email us and we'll tell you exactly what's on file
- Get your data deleted — email us at bishoptools@proton.me and we'll remove your information. We'll confirm deletion within 30 days.
- Opt out of emails — click unsubscribe in any email, or email us directly
If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA: the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We don't sell personal information — to anyone, ever.
Children
This site and product are for business owners. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, please email us and we'll delete it immediately.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll try to give you a heads-up via email.
